DirectgovKids Parents' Area
Introduction
This is the HTML version of the Parents' Area. This site is designed to teach kids about the people and places in their local community. Why not explore the site with your children? You will find out what goes on inside a police station, where the food in your supermarket comes from and how local government affects your everyday life. Your children will learn about staying safe, keeping fit and healthy, caring for animals and the environment, voting and democracy, and the importance of good behaviour. There are a range of resources to choose from, including games, animations, factfiles, slideshows and video clips. If you'd like a quick overview of what's on the site, try asking Buster the police dog a question!
