Introduction

Welcome to DirectgovKids. This site is designed to help you find out about the world around you. This is the HTML version of the site. Here you will find all of the information and learning contained within DirectgovKids.

DirectgovKids contains a world to explore. There are several different buildings including a police station, a school, a town hall, a fire station, a supermarket and a stadium. There is a river winding through the middle of the DirectgovKids world. There are wind turbines providing the world with energy. There are fields and mountains in the distance.

There are lots of people walking on the pavements and talking to each other. Cars and buses are driving past. Some people are on bikes. There is a station where people can catch trains. There is a lake where people can sail on boats. People can catch planes from the airport.

Click on the building that you would like to visit. Each building contains an introduction, a slideshow of images and at least one activity.

Some of the buildings in the DirectgovKids world are still under construction. Check back regularly to see if these new buildings are ready to visit!
